Source/Destination Check

Also known as: src/dest check

Source/Destination Checking is enabled in most cloud environments by default. This check ensures that all traffic arriving at the device is only meant for that device and is not forwarding traffic along. In other words, the server must be the source or destination of the traffic it sends or recieves. Routers, NATs or appliances such as VNS3 require that this check is disabled. Disabling this will enable the instance to handle network traffic that isn’t destined for that instance.
